Help shaping a just transition towards sustainable economic models

The growing threat of climate change and the need to transition to sustainable energy production and use are evident, and efforts towards these objectives have become an integral part of industrial and trade policy settings the world over. It is important that the transition towards a new energy future is pursued in a just and equitable manner, safeguarding the rights and livelihoods of affected communities and of workers and employees along changing supply chains, both home and abroad. Taking into account past experience with such transition processes, working among others with labour unions and other civil society organizations, can help shape fair outcomes for all.
